Cheverly Draws D.C. Commuters with Small-Town Feel

Cheverly embraces its small-town feel—the 1.35-square-mile area is mostly residential. This zoning mimics most of the surrounding area. The 2017 Preliminary Greater Cheverly Sector Plan states that 32 percent of the greater area (2,507 acres) is residential, and 87 percent of those homes are single-family residences.

Bladensburg Waterfront Park — As part of the 2007 Approved Bladensburg Town Center Sector Plan and Sectional Map Amendment, the Prince George’s County Planning Department envisioned the revitalized Anacostia waterfront as “a draw to the community and an attractive western gateway, balanced by the cultural features of the town’s eastern gateway at the Publick Playhouse.”

Mapping Project Aims to Protect and Improve Maintenance of Cemeteries
